71st Annual Roy LeBlanc Invitational Rodeo Returns to Oklahoma

🐎🤠 Get ready for one of the most anticipated rodeo events of the summer! The 71st Annual Roy LeBlanc Invitational Rodeo is set to ride into Shawnee, Oklahoma, bringing two action-packed nights of championship rodeo competition, family entertainment, and a celebration of Black cowboy culture and heritage.

The historic event will take place Friday, August 7, and Saturday, August 8, beginning at 8:00 p.m. each night at the Shawnee Expo Center in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

A Legacy 71 Years in the Making

For more than seven decades, the Roy LeBlanc Invitational Rodeo has showcased some of the nation's most talented Black cowboys and cowgirls while preserving an important piece of American and Western history. The rodeo continues to attract competitors and spectators from across the region, making it one of the premier events on the Black rodeo circuit.

This annual tradition not only highlights athleticism and skill but also honors the rich contributions of African Americans to the ranching and rodeo industries.

Prize Money and Top Competition

With $15,000 in prize money on the line, competitors will be bringing their best performances to Shawnee. Expect fierce competition as riders, ropers, and racers battle for championship honors and cash payouts.

Early Bird Tickets Available

Organizers have announced a special Juneteenth Early Bird Ticket Promotion for fans who purchase tickets before June 19.

Early Bird Pricing:

$23.20 ($20 ticket + fees)

🎟️ Weekend Pass
$38.35 ($35 ticket + fees)

After Juneteenth, regular admission prices will apply.
