Let’s Get It Right
Introducing Marshlynne T. Bolden
A New Voice of Change in Tulsa, Oklahoma
The Original Black Wall Street Magazine proudly introduces a powerful new civic voice to our editorial lineup — Marshlynne T. Bolden.
A native of Monroe, Louisiana, and a 1994 alumna of Grambling State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Bolden brings both academic grounding and lived experience to her analysis of law, justice, and governance.
Her foundation in political science is not theoretical — it is personal.
Growing up in Louisiana, Marshlynne witnessed the lingering remnants of racial dichotomy firsthand. Those early observations shaped her commitment to civic awareness, accountability, and systemic examination. Community activism was rooted in her at an early age, forming the lens through which she continues to evaluate the legal and political landscape.
Now a resident of Tulsa, Oklahoma, she sees not only challenges — but opportunity,
Opportunity for evolution.
Opportunity for reform.
Opportunity for truth.
Her new monthly column, “Let’s Get It Right,” is a principled examination of the intersection of law, public policy, civil rights, and economic power. It confronts difficult questions about constitutional integrity, governmental balance, criminal justice, and the lived realities of citizens navigating a rapidly shifting political environment.
This column will not trade in rhetoric. It will engage in reasoning.
Each month, Bolden will challenge readers to look beyond headlines and examine:
The erosion or preservation of civil protections
The function (or dysfunction) of governmental checks and balances
The role of economic systems in shaping freedom
The societal impact of legal decisions
Where accountability begins — and where it ends
In a time when clarity feels scarce, Let’s Get It Right exists to restore structured civic thought.
Because democracy is not sustained by observation alone.
It requires participation.
It demands vigilance.
And it thrives when citizens are informed.
Marshlynne T. Bolden is not merely adding commentary — she is issuing a charge.
Before we react, we must understand.
Before we demand reform, we must examine the structure.
Before we move forward, we must get it right.
